i have a amd athlon 64 3200. its a socket 939 one, but i dont know if its a newcastle version, or winchester. how do i tell? bare in mind i havent put together my computer yet, so i cant run cpu-z. and, also, whats the difference between the two?

There's a 3200 NewCastle Socket 754, but no such thing exists on Socket 939, Winchester was designed to replace NewCastle, why would they keep making them then?

Yeah, AMD has been slacking lately.... and yes they do make 3200+ s939 processors, though I highly doubt it's a newcastle core...
