I have a AMD X6 1055T in my system and my board has burnt out so need a new one, My question is should i keep this CPU and get a new board or buy one of the intel cpu's

1055T is a 6 core clocked at 2.8ghz but can be over clocked
I5 2500k is a 4 core clocked at 3.3ghz
I5 2400s is a 4 core clocked at 2.50ghz

whats the difference in the 3 cup's would I see a difference,
is it worth moving over to intel or should I wait ?

The intel 2500k is a nice CPU but still pretty expensive

. But you can also stick with the AMD and overclock it to a 1090T

.

6 core is handy for programs and such, 4 cores is better for games because games don't use more then 4 cores expect RTS games like Supreme Commander.

Price to performance the amd will win no contest. You already have the processor why spend nearly 400$ for a revamp?

Um.... The i5 2500k has a better price performance ratio. Its only the 1090t that beats it I think.
