Sorry for not having pics...
Well, yesterday I was dawdling around with my friend tuning up his new Area 51 Quad-Core. After all that we decided it was time to overclock (We were shooting at 4.0Ghz) When we cracked that chunky case open we found...FAN COOLING! AHH! Since we didn't have any liquid cooling and didn't want to risk killing his computer with an ice rig....we did the next best thing. We got out his portable freezer and ripped the whole case off... Then, we pooped that sucker into his freezer and duck taped the door shut (Fan cooling running at full tilt.) We were able to get that sucker up to 4.2Ghz. with a stable temperature. His computer now resides in this freezer with cellophane over it to keep it from frosting up and it works..erm...GREAT! Just thought one of you might want to try it...

Our erm...beta test? w/ my win XP desktop guts (Fan was later replaced on CPU I did not run without it as in pic sry for me losing my camera before Alienware went in)

Installing his HD-DVD drive we ordered cheaper than the preinstall option (This is when I thought we should chuck it in the freezer)

THE FREEZER OF DEATH (As in it will die, soon...)

Very crazy. I must try that.
I don't think that will end well.

I agree!! Smells like trouble in the future, it will just build moisture.

WOW, who would have thought of it, genius!

That's awesome, glad it was a success. But I would be way too scared to put the thing in the freezer! Condensation is any electronics worst nightmare

I feel bad for the poor freezer

This used to be a very common topic of discussion. However it was always shot down for reasonable reasons. Such as moisture buildup.
it might cool it a little too much
Yeah...that will fail on you very very soon. Stuff like this had been tried again and again and it's never ended well.

Been said rather often that freezers will end up with destroyed from condensation they say...

Cool thing though.

Please go to a store that lets you design your own t-shirts and get a t-shirt that says "I use warez" (you choose the text type, I have no preference although Gothic would be cool) and (this is the hard part) make sure you have that t-shirt on when someone takes a picture of you and your friend discovering that his computer no longer functions.

Make sure that picture hits the net and we'll do the rest.

I bet that thing gives worse cold starts then my car in December...
Funny I remember joking around about putting a computer in the freezer for good temps, never thought someone would actually do it!
No, it's because we don't need OCN being sued by said companies for promoting piracy.

What does it matter if it is big or small business? Just because it is a big company does not make it acceptable to fraud them.

Your idea will fail in time, my friend. Until then, enjoy it.
