My sig rig arrived today. Well, in reality, I dont have the motherboard yet - so im still on the "second rig"!!!

Basicly, I have another Thermaltake Big Typhoon that i want to use BUT im now a little worried that it wont fit coz my DS4 will have the "passive cooling heatpipes" surrounding the cpu slot:

I was wondering wether:
A) anyone has the same setup as me and therefore knows whether it will work OR...
B) if they've got a DQ6 + a TT Big T which is basicly the same OR...
C) if anyone has any helpful comments they would like to add!!!

Thanks guyz!!

I have an Asus P5B with similar obstructions, but my HS is a Noctua, also a LARGE cooler.

I don't think that you will have any issues as the there is a rise before the cooling fins "blossom". I wonder if the angle that the BT's heatpipes move from the HSF to the cooling fins/fan will be an issue. Probably not though.

Someone out there has gotta have the same setup, I am sure that they will post more concrete comments soon.

P.S. nice setup

Worst case scenario: Find the spec sheets with dimensions on both pieces of hardware, then do some calcs. Also, if the BT can be rotated, then you could use an orientation that would not have any obstructions.

I really don't think that you will have an issue that you can not overcome.
