I live in GA so I have microcenter nearby. Should I do a i7-10700K for $279 or a I5 10600k for 189? I will be upgrading board and ram as well. 32gb ddr4. I mainly game and I use 1440p 144hz monitor. I will get a better GFX card when the prices are not so outrageous. I mostly play AC Valhalla and WOW as of late. Everything I use it for is work and a ton of multitasking really that's about it.

Either would be a big jump from your current rig, assuming your sig rig is what you're running currently. If I were on the once a decade upgrade cycle, I would go for the 10700k.

10700k or even 10700. I wasn't impressed with the 10600k at all. Can get an 8700k and beat it with ease.

I think the Intel 11 series is coming out 2/28, but prices will be MSRP with no discounts.

thanks guys i will go with the 10700k. Thats what I thought but wasnt sure as I havent built or overclocked in years thanks to kids and just live in general.

without a doubt go 10700k. Im in Villa Rica (carroll county) if you need help with anything, gimme a shout. As for a FREAKING AWESOME board to go with, please listen when I tell you go with the MSI Z490 Tomahawk. I litterly sold my Asus Maximus XII Hero for this 189$ board it was that good. Once you get ram dialed in 100% (all pri/sec/third row timings) everything will just fly.
