So, I just won the October folding contest 8800GT with the following specs:
Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA
GPU GeForce 8800 GT
Core clock 700MHz (vs. 600MHz standard)
Stream Processors 112
Memory
Memory Clock 2000MHz
Memory Size 512MB
Memory Interface 256-bit
Memory Type GDDR3

I currently have 3 8800GTS 320Mb cards folding in my machine.

Would it be worth it for me (in terms of folding) to swap out one of my cards with the 8800GT, or keep them all the same? Would having one card different screw things up? I'm not sure if the 8800GT is G80 or G92, but I know my 8800GTSs are G80. I seem to recall (but can't find) that you shouldn't mix them.

having different cards in a single folding machine will yield different results... the 8800 GT will lower the scores of the 8800 GTS's you already have for some odd reason... I say keep the 8800 GTS in the rig...

Saber is correct.. mixing GPU ID's will lower PPD for the 'lesser' GPU/s. Your PPD for the GTS's will drop to ~34-3700 once you add the GT to the mix.

*the GT is a G92 core btw.

The only way around the PPD 'mix-up' is by editing the GPU BIOS and flashing.

Keep them seperate. All 88GTs are G92s. The GT should easily outrun the GTS.

i dont agree check my sig , my g80 is doing 5700 and the g92 is doing 6200 ppd

Did you do anything special to your setup?

I may just have to put the GT in my rig, see what it does, and decide which card to pass on.
