Antec 300, PSU fan facing up or down?

Okay i currently have my PSU mounted up so that it blows air out of the case.

I have seen some people putting PSU with the fan facing down into the case, is this a bad idea? Will the fan still work okay with that much clearance?

I am asking this because the fan tends to counteract my videocards fan if i set the videocard in a lower PCIe slot, and i will probably have a card there soon for crossfire.

Afaik, PSU fans that are not mounted on the back-side (where A/C power lugs in) are intakes.

Can you post some pics?
In mine I had to have the fan facing up so I could plug in the 8pin connector. The cord wasnt long enough when it was put the other way

There is about 3/4" clearance under the PSU if you want to have the fan facing down. Im sure you would get enough air in there

I assume you are talking for the CPU, yea that is actually a tight fit, it might just barelly make it if i flip it over.

I dont have a camera on me other than my phone so i cant post very good pics right now.

Oh yea and it is outake, i just took a piece of paper and put it up on PSU fan inside case and it sucked it up against the fan.

I wouldn't Those fans on the top are designed as intake fans, you want you're PSU to be running as cool as possible, for good Power Levels, and good efficiency.
What people usually do with the 300 is cut out a hole at the bottom of the case and flip the PSU so it draws in air from under the case.

I wouldn't recommend it if you have carpet flooring though, but works well if you have hardwood flooring or have your computer on your desk. It helps if you get taller case feet too.
I had my fan facing upwards.

Its inside a cabinet on wood floor, although im not in the mood for a case mod

You can have it facing up or down. There is a big enough gap to get decent airflow.
mine is facing upwards.
In my antec 1200 I put the fan facing down. It had enough air room. Now I cut out the bottom under the PSU for extra cooling.

The builds that I've done using the Antec 300 have all the corsair power supplies facing up.

Running my tempest with a hole cut in the bottom and the PSU flipped over. Cables look a lot nicer.
