i spent the last 30-45 minutes searching the forums and googling it, but i was unable to find any mod that showed how the hdd's were reversed (i remember looking at one), if anyone know how it's done or can link me to it.
thanks in advance
Also, when you're looking for mods, typically search "Antec 1200" instead of "Antec 900." 90% of the mods or more are the same for each case, but most people doing hardcore tinkering are running a 1200.
Great video! I planned on doing some case mods during the cold months and this will help greatly! Now to find a better way to have filters that don't involve panty hose and tape....
Reversing them is fine, but a better solution (for me) was to rotate them 90 degrees, so the cables come out on the (right) side. They rest on the little lips formed into the side plates. You just need to cut holes for the cables, which isn't too hard with a dremel.
Very clean this way, lots of airflow, and the drives are not visible at all..

How are you suppose to get better airflow if you got the hard drive sitting in front of your fan intake? Wouldn't it be better if the fan was not blocked by the hard drive? I have a Antec 900 and i have thought of ways to make the hard drive stand sideways without blocking the fan intake but i'm probably just gonna consider getting a 1200 case and do some mods but then again i don't know yet. I got some ideas.
ive reversed my hard drives in my 902 case basically the same way as in the video with a hole at the bottom for the cables ....ill post some hq pictures once i get my camera charged
