im thinking of getting an Antec 902. what are everyones thoughts on this case?

902 is 30$ more than the original 900. If you're going to pay a jump in price, atleast opt for a 1200.

its an awesome improvement that fixed many issues with the original antec 900. BUT they are noobs trying to charge $160 + shipping for it. For that much cash just buy the bigger and better antec 1200.

i dont know about your websties, but im getting an antec 902 shipped, taxes, for 141 CND. i worked it out and the cheapest i could get for the 1200 is 230+

Really? How about if you have a really long video card? The 1200 lets you put in an X2 or GTX295 and still either use the hard drive bays immediately behind it or use the optional fan bracket with another 120mm fan in it.

Also the 900 and 902 have issues with putting a 120mm fan in the door bracket while using large tower coolers, the 1200 lets you get away with it.

Those two items alone, justify a slightly more expensive antec 1200

I'd go with the 902 on sheer weight alone. If you're a college student who has frequent vacations (i.e. every 5 weeks) a 1200 fully loaded is going to be a PITA. I should know I've carried my roommate's twice and it sucked going up three flights of stairs. Nearly dropped it once.

My old 900 doesn't nearly weigh as much with roughly the same amount of stuff in it. If you're using a 10.5" video card, you can always slide the hdd cages forward about 1/2", to where the grill plates are flush with the case front. My 900 fits a GTX 260 quite nicely. I bet the 902 is roughly the same idea.

im going with the gts 250 1gb anyways so that doesnt matter

if i had the choice now i would have upgraded to the 1200, and am in no way short of bay space.
just more space. i find everything is a little cramped.

Check the Review in my sig. I won't express my opinions as many disagree but I think it is a fantastic case. Yes the 1200 is bigger. Yes it has the extra bays, fan and extra height. But bigger is not always better (well...

). Many of us like a tidy setup and cannot fit a 1200 under their desk or at the end of theier bed(me) I am lanky so if the case was at the end of my bed, I would hit it when I toss and turn in my sleep!

If you can afford it, spend the extra money on a 1200. The 900 is very cramped with the higher ends video cards. I regret buying it now.. (I have 2).

decide on what hardware you will put before choosing. i like my 902. you will need longer cables for the 1200 if you want to hide the cables nicely. I think I did mine pretty clean except for the sata cables.

my opinion nine hundred is ok but nto that much room to work with
