Hi everyone!
Right now I have 24" amva+ Iiyama screen and it's just small and VA panel have a lot of ghosting(+flickering at dark grey patterns).
I've already considered and ditched 144hz and 2k ideas and I am now considering 4k, since I do not play online fps shooters.
I am targeting [email protected] monitor at 27-30" since more will not fit on my desk. No ultrawide. Just 16:9.
I want to use it for general usage, yt, movies and games. I just want picture quality over competitiveness. I hate aliasing so this could be nice.
I don't have a problem with lowering output res or lowering details and limiting fps to 30 with some newer games. I mostly play older games or indie and often with controller.
There are few options with reasonable price. What I've noticed is that even best 1080p panels have only 6bit+frc panels while all 4k monitors have 8bit+frc or true 10bit. I am one of "those" people who does notice banding, so again - this could help.
I've found these 2 monitors so far. I've picked them, because they have weird 1300:1 contrast listed instead of 1000:1 and adjustable stands... although LG is white which is not optimal... and NO reviews on those really.
Dell U2718Q
LG 27UD69P
Maybe some other 4k monitors worth looking at?
cheers
