I am looking for anyone who has a ASUS A8N-E S939 mobo who overclocks, preferable with an AMD X2 cpu? Here are some things I would like to know:

1) Your overclock with the board and cpu?
2) The maximum FSB you can get out of the A8N-E?
3) The maximum vcore you can put on a X2 cpu with that board?

I have not tried the max FSB bus but my oc is 2640. I will post the max v core later.

Ok thanks, I am guessing thats 240x11?

Oh and what vcore are you using at 2.64GHz? Stock?

I need to know what the FSB wall on the A8N-E is and whats the max vcore it will allow you to do (some say max in bios is only 1.45v)

I need to know as this will help me decide on what X2 cpu I will buy as the X2 3800+ sounds cheap and a good overclocker, but I do not want to be FSB limited (ideally wanna hit 300FSB here), so I say what about the X2 4200+? Little bit more cash, but has a 11x multi which should remove any FSB wall.

Then I say what about the X2 4400+, it has 2MB Cache, is it better for OCing? Does twice as much cache make a difference?

OK, that clears things up

So 400Mhz FSB stable? Cos that massive And I thought there was a 1.45v Vcore limit on X2 cpu's? Guess I heard wrong. Thanks.

Ah i see. No worries, hopefully someone else will tell us.

I just wanna know so I dont mess up on my cpu choice. But you sure it allows 1.55v? Just double checking that u meant 1.55?

Edit: Ok, i believe you bcos u said you are running at 1.5 @ 2.6GHz. It is just me or is that a bit high for just 400MHz inc.? What is your temp btw?
