Any better low-profile cooler than NH-C12P?

I'm looking for a good low-profile cooler and I'm thinking the nh-c12p has to be the best one. I need low-profile because I have a 250mm fan in my side panel and I doubt I will be able to fit something the size of a TRUE. What do you guys think?

I don't think it makes sense to choose your cpu cooler based on a side panel fan, Id make accommodations and get something that cools the cpu best.

If a TRUE doesn't fit just take off that side panel fan and replace it with a smaller one that is more out of the way if you really feel you need to have a fan there.

It's an HP case I modded. The side fan protrudes about 1 inch into the case.

It makes plenty of sense. I spent a long time modding my case to make it look good, and I am not going to throw it all away because I can get a slightly cooler temp. Besides, the big side panel fan cools my video card, nb and sb, and helps with my cpu temps. What is more important, a slightly cooler cpu, or a slightly cooler gpu, nb, sb, and cpu?

That thing looks pretty beefy, are you sure it cools better than the noctua?

Im pretty sure a TRUE would get you significantly better temps than most low profile CPU coolers. I don't think adding a fan would exactly make an HP case that cool anyways. They are designed to have adequate airflow w/o any modding.

also, why are you buying an aftermarket CPU cooler for an HP?

Why are you interrogating the man? Just answer his question.

On topic -

How much clearance do you have?

The cooler in my sig rig, Scythe Shuriken, is 64mm high including the stock fan. Kept my overclocked 95W TDP chip at a reasonable 37C idle and 50C load.

You can replace the stock fan with a 25mm thick fan (stock is 12mm) and get even better results.

It is very small - barely fits in my case, however. Just another option.

Awesome guys, thanks for all the help. +rep for everybody that helped with my situation. Keep in mind that I am looking for a cooler that will get better temps than a NH-C12P, and I am willing to pay extra for it.

The NH-C12P only gets a few degrees warmer than it's tower counterpart, so I don't think it would be that significant. And yes, my mods HAVE made my case significantly cooler, otherwise I wouldn't have done them. My GPU is the hottest I have ever owned and I have to accommodate it. And it is not an hp, it is an hp case that I really liked. Get off my case (lol) and please stick to the subject.

I would say cooler CPU is more important.

That GeminII he linked is in know way low profile. But it dos cool the hell out of you cpu and and ram and NB. I have it in my antec1200 and its snug withe fans on it. But if your side fan line up with it then it might be a nice setup. Good Luck
