With what rig? Personally, I'd get a single high-end card, esp. if you have a resolution smaller than 1600x1200 or 1680x1050. A single 7950GT will run lower resolotions perfectly, and will save you some money. You have a 7950GT with 512MB RAM for $275.

Let us know what the rest of the proposed rig specs are.

I dunno, something I can get, maybe a 17 inch off of start from an older computer. But I will eventually get a 20 inch flat.

then you will most likely not need SLI, a single card better card will be just as good

SLI excels at high resolutions, on screens in the 22"+ range.

A single expensive card will perform alot better than 2 budget cards.

I'd go get a 400$ card rather than 2 200$ cards.

Ahh ok, I think you are guys are right. Maybe a 7950 or a 7900 would be better for me than just SLi.

ATi in my opinion sucks, every card i have from ATi has died.

7900GTO on Newegg, excellent buy from what im reading, there is a link in one of the other threads about the card. it seems like its 7950gtx with a slower clock speed, but better memory and the same heatsink. I dunno, maybe its worth it.

I gotta figure out my other problems with my comp before upgrading hehe.

hope this was a helpful suggestion
