I was thinking about a ram upgrade...I figured I should get with the times and get rid of my 512's and pick up some one gig sticks.

Saw this on the egg

2-3-2-5 @ DDR400 while only feeding it 2.6 volts? sounds decent enough

The only experience I have had with them is some 128meg sticks of DDR333 that I bought to put into a couple folding rigs...they cost me $12 a piece. They seem to work fine though...I even have them OC'ed by 20 MHz. However, this is for my main rigs here...and I would rather have some thing that has been proven to be good.

well i must say i have never heard of that memory. being that you are going to try and overclock i would stick to some better know ram as the performace of the ram will be better know.

I would look at the following brands if i were you:
CORSAIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145575
OCZ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227210
mushkin http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146425
G.SKILL http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231047
GeIL http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144322
I've never heard of it either...well except for those cheap sticks I got. The only reason I got those was because they were the lowest priced DDR memory newegg had. Which makes me wonder about a $110 stick from them.

I am probally going with G.Skill for a few dollars more

I'd love these...if you could find them and were 1 gigs, but hese might be worth it to stay in the 512 world

i looked on newegg and they dont carry any ddr600 in 1gb sticks which means they either dont exist or are hard to find
ddr500 would be a better bet since they are more common and they will at least hit 250mhz

I have found that PQI's performance is not up to the standards of Crucial, Corsair or OCz.

Why buy cheapo speakers for a rocking amplifier is how I look at DRAM purchasing.

i had some pqi, overclock to 466 it fried at 2.8 volts with active cooling. i had some sort of freak accident with them
