As a general rule, it's risky to buy TVs for gaming devices because a large percentage of them have noticeable input lag from 0.1 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
Also, a TV as a monitor will have low pixel density. So games will not look as sharp as a 24" would display them as, and text will be much larger, which might very well result in it being hard to read for some. Depending on distance of course.
Don't buy ANY TV unless you have someone who tells you their computing usage with it. There are numerous possible issues that just cannot be known until purchase. You might end up wasting your money unless you have some personal experience to base your purchase on
