As a general rule, it's risky to buy TVs for gaming devices because a large percentage of them have noticeable input lag from 0.1 seconds to 0.5 seconds.

Also, a TV as a monitor will have low pixel density. So games will not look as sharp as a 24" would display them as, and text will be much larger, which might very well result in it being hard to read for some. Depending on distance of course.

I had to go through 1 lcd and 1 led before I found a tv that could display 1080p natively. A lot of tvs say they are 1080p but the exact resolution is off (not 1920x1080).

This is what I just purchased. Its amazing. Games look insane and 1080p rips are perfect. I actually had to increase the text size to make things easier to read because the screen is so large.
