Ok, so I just booted from my Windows CD to try and repair my XP install, it's been f'ing up..

But, I don't know how to repair it....

Next point, I went to the damn install windows screen, hit f8 to agree to the EULA, and then got a BSOD..***

btw, everything is at stock atm.

Thats mostly because of compatibility problems with your hardware if it BSODs on Windows install/repair, but if it has been fine before then something might be broke. Try using just 1 stick of RAM and the bare minimum for the XP repair.

Something is wrong with your hard drive. When you hit the F8 key windows checks your hard drive for size and partitions. I've worked on a computer that blue screened right after the F8 and it was the drive. On a working computer you can see the size of the drive on the bottom of the screen after hitting the F8.
