I'm in the market for a new storage drive, and samsung is quite cheap for 500gigs, however I normally only get western digitals, or the occasional seagate. I haven't had much luck outside of those manufactures. (re: terrible experience with a maxtor x.x)

I have never used Samsung...but have heard of them failing often.

My bad....looks like it isn't a rebate....just a sale price of 149.99. I thought it was a rebate the last time I checked the add. Better for you though because you don't have to wait for the savings.

Just FYI.... Seagate bought out Maxtor last year. They are the same company now.
