well i loove my music and am looking to get a logitech z-2300. it looks good, according to some reviews sounds even better, but i wanted to know if anyone here has it because i dont want to waste 100pounds. rite now im running a denon amp with two jamo speakers..sounds nice but just too big for my room, so in looking for something a bit smaller the z-2300 caught my eye, what do you people think of it?

My friend has it. I came over to his house once and although it doesn't look powerful like some 5.1 setups, it does a pretty good job for 2.1 speakers for around $100 (and personally, I think it's worth it). It gives off around 100 dB SPL, which is about the sound of say... the music in a disco. Pretty loud. This is THX certified, by the way. Just having that logo on their speakers practically ensures sound perfection. Also, the lack of wires (normally associated with 5.1 speakers) make this setup as easy as 1, 2, 3 (left speaker, subwoofer, right speaker).

I tried comparing it to the Creative I-Trigue 340, which is a 2.1 speaker system priced slightly higher than the Z-2300s on Newegg, but this only gives off about 80 dB SPL, which isn't really that great. Other specs such as watt output are less than of the Z-2300s.

I'd say buy it.

For slightly less, you can get this and I think it's a LOT better. Nearly all of my friends have this same 4.1 setup and it rocks. It not only sounds good, but will play very loud and the sub is massive. Don't let the price fool you about the quality, this system used to sell for almost $200 before it was discontinued.

How is the z-560 compare with the z-5300 ? What is the difference ?

Currently i have an on board with a Creative P380 2.1 and planning for an upgrade, which speaker do you guys recommend ? Since im not really good when it comes to music and sound, the budget for a new box is about 40-60$. Well, and I prefer Movie > Music > Games
