Anyone know a good flight combat game?

I recently picked up M$ Combat Flight Simulator 3 and it's okay but I'm looking for something along the lines of Ace Combat that I had played on PS2.

Anyone have a suggestion? It can be based on any era (WWII, Korea, VN, Gulf War, whatever...mustangs/F22s, you name it!)

Thanks

Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII
Battlestations Midway
Both those are pretty fun old school planes on midway you can control ships subs and planes.

So I bought Blazing Angels and it's fun, thanks again for the reco. It'd be nice if you could actually play online. Good game, support for joysticks is an issue though. My logitech extreme 3d pro works well with the exception of right twist.

If you want a laugh, go read the forums at ubi$oft and see how pissed people are about the bugs in the game - wow. I haven't had any problems with it, but it is a year old now.
Theres an new "Attack on Pearl Harbour" out
If you have a PS3, there's the upcoming Ace Combat 6, which looks amazing. If you have a PS2, there's always AC5, which is actually out, it's cheap, and I still play it.

It will also be released for the 360.

Falcon 4.0 is my favorite combat flight simulator. You can find it on bargain bins, ebay or in its Gold version. There are so many mods out there for it, you will not run out of campaings or airplanes to fly.
While the title of this may not make it clear, Falcon 4.0: Allied Force is the new release of the original Falcon 4.0 with a complete overhaul. This is essentially the original with all of the best add ins all put together and stabalized in 1 package.

Great in depth combat flight sim.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I just needed a justification for my joystick since I don't play BF2 too much these days. Also sold my consoles a while back and am now looking to buy another PS2 lol!
Ace combat is a great game. I do not, however, know of any games like it on the pc.
If you like flying around for fun, you might actually enjoy GTA: San Andreas, provided you can find a savegame that skips up to when you get your pilot's license.
IL2 and Lock On Modern Air Combat.
