The Able Planet has active noise canceling, which IMO is crap. It might fun to have a $50 noise canceling headphones, but I'm pretty sure sound quality is not that great.
but the able planet's are normally $100+... would they be a superior product for the same $50 price point?
im most likely gonna get them, a 50%+ price drop is pretty nice
Cost does not necessarily equal quality. If you are a classical or choral music genre fan then the Able's would be the way to go; other wise the JVCs are the superior headphones. There seems to be quite a bit of comfort issues with the Able's as well.
If you're willing to spend $75, I just got my Sennheiser HD555's from ElectronicsExpo, and that was the price including shipping. You'll need the coupon code though.
