i have been playing around with my Sapphire HD4850 and i pushed it to 700(max for CCC)/1090 stock is 575/993. I was stable there so i decided to push my luck and go for a bigger OC, so i edited the bios and reflashed so that i could go to 800. So i put it to 750 on stock volts, and i'm completely stable so far. Max temp is just under 70.

Edit: My stock voltage is ~ 1.123v

Just reached 775/1100 with no problems so far. CCC shows temps @ 67 C while testing for artifacts in ATITool

artifacts @ 800/1100

My best guess would be 'yes', many people have seen results like that with their 4850's.

Above average but definitely possible...i know with the right voltage the 4850 i have has done 865/1150

I run it daily at 750/1050 of stability and heat reasons...VERY nice card you have there

Hope I can get my new 4850 to that when it arrives, that way I'll be able to use the power of my 4870 to its full potential in this CF rig.

Thanks for the replies. I'm ordering a DFI Lanparty mobo today so i can unlock my Phenom II 545 to a 945 and in the near future CF with either a 4850 x2 or perhaps a 4870 or 4870 x 2... Ive never crossfired, so will the Core & Mem clocks downclock to the lowest gpu config?
