Looks promising, though the fan extending below the slot would mean it would have to be replaced to use the GPU in most standard boards/enclosures if the user ever wished to swap it out/upgrade.

I'm also somewhat iffy about the use of 40mm fans for supplemental cooling. Do they really offer enough benefit to justify two more points of failure and the increase in noise (which doesn't seem to be bad, but could surely be improved)?
