I dont get what your saying. There is a mac section. Everything else can be classified under one of the other categories.

were is the mac section ???
im having a problem finding the apple section on the home page ! I did a find search for the key word " apple " and its not finding anything !
the simple fact why apple macs arent popular here is because, they dont game, they dont overclock either -- they may be good machines for education\\graphics\\3d rendering etc, but they dont fit into, AMD Processors or Intel memory, do they?

Thats why there in the catagory with unix\\linux
look at the link he gave you, jeez.
its under "linux, unix, MAC"

Actually mac's apparently overclock via jumpers.

people can get 300 mhz OC's out of them. And who cares, jumpers overclock, it gets the job done.

i stand corrected
(personally i dont like anything about the products apple make - i dont like how microsoft dominated the market either, but windows and dos is all i know)

yeah but it limits the OC, you have to go by there incremintes. so if a mac can take a 200MHZ oc not 300, but the jumper only goes from 200 to 300, youve lost a good 50-70MHZ
Mac overclocking is done by changing the multipliers by resoldering 0ohm resistors on the pcb of the cpu. Not by adjusting jumpers.

Yea, I am about to do it to my eMac that we bought a while ago (well, not me, family) and it's starting to get a little sluggish.. I am going off of this guide. They are consitered jumpers, but not the jumpers most people think of. Just basic soldering points to adjust the multi. What about my previous post Jori?

Depends on the model how you do it.
I have a Mac Se(1988) It's highly modified with a different processor, a Motorola 68000 8Mhz -> 69030 33Mhz, More ram 8Mb than it is supposed have 8Mb and a 500 Mb Quantum SCSI HD. A second monitor and sister card to run it. All with aftermarket parts. Remember when this is happening...

I am still using my highly modded B&W G3(1999) it's in my sig.

My wifes Beige G3 went from 266Mhz G3 to a 986Mhz G3.
Some you move jumpers like my B&W, some like my wifes you do in software.
Hardware does the changes in some. Others you cut leads or cross circuts. Depends on the Mac.
Macs are modable.
