How much would you say my chip would sell for. It does 4.0 (HT) at 1.164 vcore, VTT only needs +125 (around 1.2v) or 4.2ghz HT OFF at 1.19v will also do 4.5ghz at 1.35vcore. have not pushed it past that due to summer heat.

EDIT: NO MOCHA IM NOT SELLING IT RIGHT NOW!!!!

I'd say a flat $300 since I sold my i7 for $290 within 30 minutes.

Okay, lets weight it out:

Pros:
Great Voltages for great OCs!
I7 is a great processor in general!

Cons:
Used chip + life is probably shorter because of the OCs*
Looses value if it's lapped
If it is missing heatsink, it lowers (but I hope you kept the stock one!)
The core I9s are coming soon (just try and sell it before they come out!)

It also depends on where you sell this chip. Most average people won't understand how that chip is more worth it though. They won't understand why someone would be selling something used for more than it retails at in MicroCenter (but then again, they prob don't know that MC has the 200$ deal
). So, if more money is your goal, OCN would be a better place in terms of price because people appreciate it's worth more. In ebay or craigslists, you are going to have to price it less in order to sell it.

It actually places you in a weird paradox. You can sell it on OCN for MORE instead of less, although you would usually lower the price for fellow OCNers. Well, that is up to you, I'm not going to take that decision for you! lol

Anyway, here is my appraisal:

On OCN: 230$- 250$
On ebay/craigslists: 200$ or less.

* I am not sure how much voltage you put through it on average, so no way to know how much life it has.
