Xclio Full tower case (not sure on model anymore. was maybe ~$150 new) w/ dvd drive
Corsair HX750
i7 920

Xclio Full tower case (not sure on model anymore. was maybe ~$150 new) w/ dvd drive - probably about $140 or so
Corsair HX750 - $100 - $110 shipped
i7 920 - $120 shipped
6gb (3x2gb) DDR3 1600 - $30 shipped
WDblack 640gb or 500gb HDD - about $50 - $60 shipped

CPU would fetch more on eBay but here even never used $120 is about what you would get for it.

I agree, but the HDD's should be around 40-45$ shipped.

thanks for the input

so without the case im looking at ~$300 shipped...

ill probably just have to find a motherboard for it and get it running again. he will lose too much money if he tries to sell it

I would. 1366 is still very strong. The only downside is that it doesn't have native sata3 support. That's why I upgraded from my i7 930 to IB.

Even for SSDs, they run similarly from SATA2 to SATA3 so I don't see why this would be a reason to upgrade.

Who leaves this stuff laying around and then complains they'll lose so much on it after what 3+ years on the market.

The Marvell controller was terrible. I wanted it to DIAF, but decided to sell the motherboard instead.

I also gained native usb3, pcie3, a cooler processor that uses half the power, etc. The SSD was barely running better than a fast HD, though. That was driving me nuts.

It's my friends stuff. Trust me. I have given him a lot of crap about this computer. He bought everything one piece at a time so his warranties all started at different times and he didn't register for his warranties till it was too late for the motherboard. Then he joined the army and left all the parts just sitting around
