Different motherboards manufacturers have different BIOSes like: Award, AMI, Pheonix, etc. BIOSes are used by ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, DFI, ECS, who are manufacturers of motherboards to set initial startup settings for their product.
You didn't list your motherboard manufacturer in your post so I'm drawing blanks right now.
