Update also, hoping this might fix the problems with disappearing 10G nic.
Attaching the backup image in case someone is not happy with the fw update or just wants to revert to the original fw.
@MartPwnS thank you for the info

Driver updated to 2.1.21 (from 2.1.20) just fine, but firmware 3.1.109 (currently at 3.1.100) doesn't recognize my adapter, any ideas why? (EDIT: using ASUS ROG AREION 10G here)

Yes, thank you xgiovio, that worked!

For my ASUS ROG AREION 10G it was:
Code:
<pciid vid="1d6a" did="d107" sdid="872E" svid="1043" />
EDIT: wanted to register there and thank the author of that post, but I still don't have "insufficient privileges to reply" on their forums, even though I confirmed my account yesterday... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT2: wow, and now they just deleted my account, great forums, thanks www.snbforums.com! XD

@Deepcuts : I think you've missed a few posts since your last one ;)
The Marvell website is the culprit for the confusion. The date of the files are of the moment of download not the creation date of the version. I posted this driver/firmware 3.1.109 in 04/04/2020.

Yeah, imagine how happy I was when the date changed and I noticed that. For me it updates every day I enter, so basically shows the current date. No idea why they would do that.

My bad.
Have some issues with my 10G nic going missing from time to time and with every new firmware update I hype myself, thinking this could be the update that fixes my problems.
Most likely a Gigabyte motherboard problem, but one can only hope.

Hello,
what is the difference between 3.1.109 versions and 4.2.32 version ?
I found only version 3.1.109 on marvell official website

I have an Asus XG-C100C 10G with AQC-107 chipset (PCIexpress card)

Thanks

I don't get it, how does that work and why the number downgrade?

EDIT: also, these don't work now for my ASUS ROG AREION 10G card, even after editing the updatedata.xml file, like the last time, with:
Code:
<pciid vid="1d6a" did="d107" sdid="872E" svid="1043" />
Help?
