I now this is a good cooler for the 7800 range. Is the AC at idle speeds alot quieter than the stock cooler at idle on 7800gtx cards?

yes...at full speeds it is damn near silent

Even with the fan at 100%, it is not noticable in my case. I hear all my 80mm's over it. It works great on my card, but man you better have some room in your case, this thing is bigger than it looks in the pics. The fact it exhausts the hot air out the back of the case is awesome. I noticed a 2°C drop in my case temp after this was installed. For the price, it's really worth it, just look in my profile at the speeds I was able to get to on my card!

Yes, it has to be revision 3. If your not sure on the packaging, just make sure it has an aluminum backer plate on the back side of the packaging.

I'm thinking abouit picking one up for my card. Though the OEM one does great, I'm putting everything into a smaller desktop case so I might need the exhaust from this cooler to help my temps..Still thinking about it though
