is that a good deal or not really. i think my cooler is pretty good, as is. its not stock but its not that somewhere in between, would it benefit me to buy that arctic cooler? and also i saw on new egg that there is a revision 2. is there much difference? should i get this only if its revision 2 or either way i should?
any thoughts?
Thanks!

It's a great cooler for dual-cores, and it isn't too bad on quads, either. If you have a small budget, it is a really good choice. I say the deal is totally worth it.

well i think mine is good enough as is idle temps are right under 40. do you think this cooler would get them even lower? it seems like a great deal but idk if its worth it to get it if its not going to help, and i think im getting rid of my quad core to get a e8400 so that should help cooling if you said it was good with dauls

Idle temperatures are not important. It is load temps that you need to be concerned with. Have you ran any stability tests to see what the load temps are?

Than I see no real reason to upgrade. Those temps are fine.

I have the arctic cooling freezer pro 7 on my pop's quad q9300 (OC'd 3.3ghz on a P5Q Pro) and the performance isn't that great.

The Rev 2 would be good because it supports the new CPUs which would allow you to use the new cpus and the resell value wouldn't take a huge hit. Also, the Rev 2's thermal paste is MX-2 which is better than the ver1's.

However, I would recommand the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus for $30 shipped given the performance and value--> http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-...0220941&sr=8-6
so temps now on a 2.8 oc are core 0 -65 is that still good on the cooler i have or would the arctic help lower them good enough where i wouldnt need to upgrade for a bit
