Turbo MX-2 is a high conductive and low resistance compound for components that require the best thermal dissipation. MX-2 is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where high thermal conductivity is critical. Since the MX-2 compound does not contain any metal particles, there are no problems regarding electrical conductivity and capacitance. In contrast to silver and copper compounds, contact with electrical traces, pins, and leads cannot result in any damage. Curing and bleeding of the compound is not possible. In contrast to metal or silicon pastes, this compound does not show decreasing performance over time, does not need to be reapplied and has a durability of at least 8 years."

1 - 2'C better, hmm i think ill stick with my MX-1
How much though????
According to AC's site, it should be around the same price as the MX-1.

Still, is it really worth it!

Well it looks and performs better than Artic Silver 5! So I'm already sold! Is it out now?

If they say that the same price as MX-1 then expect ~6$ range. I just bought AS5 a couple of days ago.

It's better than Arctic Silver 5? If so, I'm going to reseat my Quad.

NiNJa
Im Gonna Be Needing Sum On This Stuff
I always thought AS5 and MX-1 were about the same?
I guess I will find out soon when I reseat my CPU (came with MX-1, gonna use AS5 for the reseat, but won't be fair, since I plan on lapping the HS).

Yeah but.. this is only like $5 and can be used a ton of times.

Its not like this is a new revision of a heatsink or whatever with only a 1-2C better performance.

If I had MX-1 that was set and working good I would not take it off to put this on, but as long as this stuff is the same price you'd be fool not to use it if you were taking things apart or puting them together...if it is as good as they say. In fact, they'd be fools to even continue to make the MX-1 and AS5 stuff.

Was about to order some AS5 and Arti Clean... Well now to wait for this to be out on the egg.
I've used MX-1 for a while and got a degree or two drop in temps versus AS5. I might have to procure a tube of this MX-2 and see how it does.
Nice to know for a new build but definatly not worth reseating IMO.
