Not literally....but any of you guys got your AMDs hanging with Q6600s and E8500s in gaming? I know the AMDs do well in other platforms but lag behind Intel in gaming. I just wonder do any of you guys got your AMDs overclocked either do as well or better as its counterpart Intel chip?

AMD's only lag in benchmarks, in game they do much better and I prefer AMD.
I would love t switch to AMD. bring on Deneb!
I love my 64 X2. I can start CSS and enter a server in as little as 15 seconds. Crysis only takes 30-40 seconds to load a game and load a level and with it clocked to 5ghz it runs much faster.

<3 64 X2

Im not saying that each core is clocked to 5GHz. I just stated that each core is 2.5GHZ. Add both cores together and you get 5GHz.

No you don't, you get a dual core cpu running at 2.5

Aye man... it doesn't work like that!!

Its JUST 2.5 Ghz. It isnt running twice as fast... thats like saying 2 cars driving side by side the same direction at 40Mph are actually doing 80.... it just doesn't work like that....

Ghz is NOT a measure of performance! Ghz is a frequency... kind of like RPM for a car. (Revolutions per minute = RPM)

And fix your computer specs... You dont see us quad users being like "Q6600 at 12 Ghz"
It's a Q6600 at 3.0 Ghz. (Actually I am running stock at the moment but whatever. (Cooling issues at the moment))

I really don't care. Point being both cores combined run 5ghz total

Fail.

Just.

fail.

You don't multiply the speed times the cores...

It would be nice. Personally I hate Intel, but there isn't an air cooled AMD cpu on this site that can hang with my $80 monster when it comes to gaming.

No they don't. Math does not work like that in cpu terms.
