The link to the ram doesnt work but this is what the motherboard says.

Memory

Dual Channel DDR2 memory technology
4 x DDR2 DIMM slots
Supports DDR2 1200*/1066/800/667 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
Max. capacity of system memory: 16GB

EDIT: Ok the link works now and that ram should work. the motherboard can use up to 4gig sticks. Also its a dual channel MB so to use that you got to get 2 matching sticks and put them in the right 2 slots. Try Memtest to make sure the ram is ok.

its 1x2gb stick would it matter which slot is goes in?

il try swapping it around anyway

Oh, just one stick? Maybe it matters but I cant remember last time I used one stick. If your using dual channel thats why the two yellow and two oranges are there.

You say shuts off after 20 seconds? Is your cpu cooling fan plugged in? Well now that i think, you should get output to monitor even with that.

And your 8 pin power connector is connected? Did you mess with the memory slots?

Also, I read some poor reviews of this motherboard, cant rule that out. Good luck.
