Are the Windows Gadgets a memory hog?

I've been thinking of using a few, but with only 2GB of RAM, maybe it's a bad idea. What do you think?

you should be fine.

i have them running and while browsing with Chrome and IMing on steam, my task manager is reading 689mb used. frankly i think there are other things you should worry about taking your memory

Some take up a bit, but the ones I run (Clock, resource monitor, weather, and a shut-down function box) are pretty low on the list.

It shouldn't be a big deal. Watch out for user made ones as some of them have either a CPU or memory leaks. Not really a big deal, just remove and restart gadgets.

If it were Vista, yes. But since Windows 7 is really nice to your memory and is not a bloated POS, there shouldn't be a problem.
I use 3 gadgets with only 2gb of ram just fine.
