Are vcore/ACC the only variables to unlock cores??

Hi (newbie here),

Trying to unlock an X3 425 on an Asus M4A785D-M PRO. Unlocks to show 4th core and 6MB L3 but will not post. Have taken vcore up to 1.45v without success and all ACC % steps

Anythign else I can try before resorting to standard OCing.

I was told that more vCore only helps the core get stable, not unlock.
Also, you have to set the ECC Firmware to hybrid (Gigabyte mobo's) or enable unleashing (ASUS mobo's)
Oh, and you can also trying flashing the BIOS to and older revision.

I'm having a similar prob, phenom 550BE gigabyte MA770T, done ec firmware hybrid acc auto, vcore 1.4 nb 1.35 and windows can't boot with bios F3, already tried F4.
