So far it's issues with cards/drivers not the monitor. A forum member said that from the tests on modified drivers of the 690 the same issues as the 680 SLI issues remain. So if you want 120hz the only GPU that can do it is a single 680 but then since it's only one it won't run some of the higher end games with all the eye candy on. If you went 690 (basically sli) you will be capped at 100ish I believe.

I'm trying to debate this as well.

Since I'm sticking to a single card, I think the highest I'll go is 100hz. I've been waiting months for the 2b model but 3c models on ebay have dropped to $330... It would be an extra $130.
