I seem to get better temps with the side panel off, so i was wondering if i would get similar results if I took the 25cm fan off the panel? it's CFM doesn't match the CFM of my FM121 so if it took air from the gril without the fan, i guess it would work better. let's find out.

but the CFM of your side fan plus the FM 121 beats just your 121. Plus, it's cooling other components, like your RAM and capacitors on your motherboard.

my BT does that too. what i'm saying is that the FM121 is pulling hot air from the sides and putting it back through the fins. w/e i'll try it.

alright, they're about the same, maybe a little higher. i'll put it back on. although is there a way to make the fan faster to increase the CFM? i don't care about noise too much as my FM121 is pretty loud.

What hot air would it be pulling from the side? It should be pulling outside air the 25cm is pushing thru. Also the side fan is of course a much larger area then your BT so it would be cooling about 90% of the mobo vs the BT.
