I know. It's really bad. I decided to try a Samsung 3D TV at Sears and BJ's. It's absolutely fail. The 3D only comes out about 1-3 inches. All of the 3D just goes into the 3D. Sony's even worse. When I was in Singapore, I went to a SonyStyle, tried a 3D TV, and most of the video was just extended in the box. Basically, nothing came out.
