So today i just bought a new gpu(R7 260x 2gb gddr5 oc) before i install it i removed the old nvdia drivers.After install it instead of showing my motherboard logo artifacts show up and at the bottom it says Press del to join bios like when the motherboard logo shows up.I have installed the new drivers(not from the cd) i have tried to remove the graphics card clean the connections and stuff but still the artifacts shows up.Should i worry?

I would clean out the Nvidia drivers with DDU.

While it's possible a new card could be DOA. I think this unlikely and it's probably left over drivers giving issue.

did you clear your cmos (bios) inbetween ?

might be an old bios config remembering the nvidia card. so clearing cmos is best thing to do when switching hardware pieces.

sounds like a bad card drivers wont make artifcats on boot because they arent loaded till windows is booting if your seeing artifacts in bios as soon as the pc is turned on need to return the card.
