hi, i have an antec 900 case, but i have had an unfortunate incident with the fans, and ive somehow managed to snap the cable on them.

I know I can solder them together - but I would rather not do this.

So i'm wondering which suggestions on 2 new intake fans I should buy?

currently its the tri-cool LED fan atm, the default one.

So which fans would you recommend?

Need to know:

Budget
Silence or performance
Size

Incidentally, there is no need to solder the wires if they are broken mid length. Case fans are not that critical so you can get away with twisting the bare wires together tightly and wrapping them individually with electrical tape. If you have pulled the wires off the connection then you would need to solder.

Or you can use a crimp connector.

<sigh> I grew up with a soldering gun ready to hand. Dad started letting me use it when I was quite young. Times change, though.

Likewise. I used to use them in school too, back before health and safety came in and said it was too dangerous...(in my old school at least).

I got burnt, taught me to be more careful in future. A good lesson I feel.
