ok i just got this

i put all my old stuff on it. hdds ram ect everythings compatable but it wont install bios. i changed boot order to my cd drive first and still when i hit f6 or f8 when starting it only shows my hdds and says the file isnt on them

help

Reinstall the OS.
Make sure the HDD is in the boot order.

also hitting f11 to pick boot device ends with "missing operating system"

the hdds came from a gateway fx 540 there is no os disc ; ;

Try reinstalling, check all your cables, one may have phailed.

os should be installed on one of the drives win 7.

guess ill try switching around wires

Just because its installed doesnt mean itll boot from a different mobo, mine so far have been finicky about that.

i have no way to reinstall a preinstall with no backup disc switching wires did nothing also it shows all drives in bios guess ill have to ask a friend to burn a cd cause all i have are dl dvds and my laptop cant burn dldvds only my pc can which isnt starting ; ;

dling official win xp sp3 iso from microsoft site.. bios is only showing i hdd aftercables changed i assume its raiding the 2 into 1

sigh had my bro burn it.. says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

no matter which drive i put it in

i guess ill just have to assume its a bad mobo since it wont even try to install windows.. rma time =/
