Hey mllrkllr88, I'd be appreciated if you could share complete SS of the BIOS (OC profiles, subtiming formula etc). available.

Hi,

Good to see Z590 OC Formula is going to be released.

There are 2 Asmedia Sata ports - Other boards like Maximus XIII Hero don't have this. - Will it be possible to RAID 0 the Asmedia ports? - Usually Asmedia Sata ports don't RAID as it is only ports 0-5 that are RAID compatible.

Hi there , is not possible to do Raid 0 on Asmedia sata ports , as you already know this. Only Intel sata ports can do Raid 0 , i have tested myself on my ASRock z590 OC Formula. I hope this clarify this concern.

Kind Regards: Chispy

Hi all, It's been a while since I've last been actively overclocking (2016) and coming from a 7700k/Z170 combo for my PC.
Thanks to ASrock and Intel, I've been fortunate to play with Z590 OCF and 11900k cpu since yesterday.
At first glance this is the most overkill system I've ever had and tuning the cpu and memory is quite easy on the OCF with all of the built-in profiles.
If you've had other OCF motherboards in the past, the menus on the Z590 are as easy to navigate and follow a similar format to older gen OCF.

Here are the specs I'm using for these preliminary testing:
-ASRock Z590 OCF
-Intel i9 11900k
-Crucial 3200 cl16 64gb kit (2x32gb)
-EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra
-Noctua NH-D15 Air cooler
-Antec 1300W Platinum HCP
-Samsung 980 250gb M.2
-1440p @ 165Hz 27inch G-sync monitor

The manual OC 11900K was set at 5.1ghz @ 1.36v and memory at 4000mhz CL16 @ 1.55V (3200 XMP profile and increased frequency at 4000mhz manually)
GPU Kept at stock settings for all tests.

In summary: Cinebench received a nice boost form manual OC (about 8%) while for gaming the 11900k is already very strong at stock settings and adding a manual cpu and memory OC only added maybe 1-2% in gaming performance.

The ASRock z590 OC Formula has been in and out of stock on newegg.com , just keep an eye on it and sign for notifications as it drops in stock very often.

It's never even showed up in the listing yet while refreshing it every few hours lol, got to love newegg and their crappy sorting.

Newegg says "New release in 30 days." Do you think it might be sooner?

@0451 I think they have already sold some. I saw it up a few days ago. From what of I know of NewEgg they post it when they have stock and when it sells out it shows out of stock. Otherwise it would be preorder like the z590 Apex or 11900k as examples. Look at specs tab and scroll down shows first avail June 4th 2021.

I wonder when the z590 Unify X will be out in the US? From the looks of it about the time the next gen releases ;)

Edit the new release in 30 days means within the last 30 days, I think. Ex I have this kit and it shows the "new release in 30 days" G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 4400 (PC4 35200) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-4400C17D-32GVK - Newegg.com

I’m about to pick up a M13A at Microcenter right now. I have 15 days to decide if I want to keep it.

@0451 Check the difference in CHA and CHB on your z590 Apex. Mine is not good @ 233mhz difference. I can even OC higher with my z490 on SR since CHA is done at 4800 on my z590 Apex, 3733 CHA, CHB 4000 in gear 1. Test in gear 1 and 2. A good MB should be within 100-133mhz in my testing of other MB in the past.

It really doesn't matter just for a $600 MB I expected better. I am not bad mouthing all Z590 Apex just relaying what I found with my 1 MB. I know it is one of the top z590 MBs.

How do I czech that? My B-die is good but not great, so not sure if it would be a good indicator.

You can disable 1 channel at a time in bios or you can just do 1 stick at a time by leaving 1 dim out. ChA or A1 the closest slot is usually the weaker/lower clocking slot. Test gear 1 to keep it simple. Hopefully you can run 3866 with tight subs in gear 1.

Use the latest 903 bios. If not 3733 should be easy. Getting 3866+ is tougher for daily use. Gear 2 I can do 4533 with DR b die easy. Nothing over that though on my MB. SR 4800c17.

Edit ideally you want to use your best binned stick. But in testing mine sticks are so close it doesn't matter. Others have posted in the 11 gen thread their CHA is weaker by 133. Mine is 233.

Also microcode will NOT update on Asus Z590 MBs using Flashback you need to use EZ flash if you want the latest microcode.

I added a new section to the OP which includes the bios screenshots that have been requested. I'm not going to give you all the useless bios screenshots like you might find in a review. If you've seen a modern ASRock Intel bios, then you already know the layout. Instead I will show you some of the interesting features and also post the memory timing profiles that have been requested.
