Asus has a stock threshold of 45c setting using Probe II monitor. I did overclock with Ai Booster at 10% which was just about at 2.2ghz. When i set it at 10% and played F.E.A.R. for about 30 mins. My CPU temperature was at 45c and MOBO was at 45c, which the mobo alarm went off because of the threshold. Anyone know what is the highest and safe temperature for this type of motherboard?

Normally for a good airflowed system such as yours, you will find the motherboard temperature around 5C lower than the CPU. At a 2.2GHz overclock (slight overclock) you should not be finding your motherboard as high as 45C. I would think that you would be closer to ~35C so I wonder at your airflow.

What fans do you have in your system and which way are they circulating?

I have the Thermaltake Armor Full tower.

Fans:
Back 120mm and 80 mm
top 80 mm
front 120 mm

and on my cpu also have a 120 mm fan on it. (TH Big Typhoon Heatsink)

Don't be too sure yet. Welcome to the forums and stick around
We'll figure it out. For a person new to the scene you have picked some most excellent parts. Good research.

I have the same case and motherboard as you. I do have 3 extra 120mm fans however. I bought 2 thermaltake Icages with mounted 120mm fans for in the front (check my profile pic) and i also mounted an additional 120mm fan on the door of the armor. My chipset temps have never exceeded 32C under full load. My cpu's top temp had never exceeded 33C load and my gpu (factory overclocked) maxes under full load at 52C.

I have done some low level overclocks without any signifigant temp increases to any of the components.

The A8N32 at stock temps usually has the motherboard chipset 1-2 C higher than the cpu temp (depending on cpu cooler of course). The cpu temps climb under load but the chipset temps usually don't more than 1 or 2 c. A 10% OC should barely move your temps.

What is your idle temps for cpu and mb sensor at stock using asus probe?
