Was wondering is anyone else has ran into this problem. on my motherboard i hook up my headset to the onboard back mic and sound ports and the mic is real low for the other people, i put the headset in the front connectors and its 300 x louder, just curious any solutions

The problem i had is on windows 7 with that board the front mic jack doesn't work unless there is a mic in the back too same with the sound.

well what the mic picks up is louder, like i dont have to scream for it to pick me up talking. but in the back i have to like scream.

I have the same exact problem, it seems that a lot of people do with the asus boards. I have the Crosshair IV Extreme. When I use teamspeak I have to max out ALL mic setting including full 20% boost in teamspeak app itself to be heard.

There is some settings in the realtek control panel that decide whether or not to use the front and back mics as one unit or seperate streams.. maybey fiddling with that will help. I am going to test a bit... perhaps even just sticking a mic dongle in the back port to see if that changes anything in both stream configurations.
