Asus Formula III - BIOS huge problem

1176 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  bringonblink
My Formula board requires the new 1003 BIOS to read my 965 (C3 step), and I heard I need to boot it with another type of CPU (so I can put on the required BIOS)..

Now my question is:
Will I need to go through the same process everytime I decide to reformat?

Thanks in advance

Use the bios in whichever supports your latest hardware. If everything is working fine, there's no need to flash your bios.

Good luck!

I understand, but everyone says my g.skills won't run at 1600..and that I would need to go into BIOS and do it manually. I really don't know how to do that, and was hoping maybe the latest drivers might solve that problem (hope I won't).

no you dont need to format every time, as the bios is a physical chip on the motherboard, separate to your hard drive
