I'm very close to making this trade and would like some opinions before I actually go through with it. I really want to go to Mac after playing with one for awhile. So here's the deal:

I'm not looking for a debate on what is better PC or Mac, I want informative opinions on if I'm making a reasonably good trade.

I also believe that if I decide to sell the Macbook at a later time I'd get more out of it since Macs seem to hold their value longer.

I work at the local tiger direct, and yours is worth about 200 more, as well as being more powerful, many times over.

That being said, however, there is something alluring about MBP's. The unibody design, gorgeous screen or simplicity of the OS, and long lasting value and quality, not to mention great battery life and hourly rate.

I don't even come close to using this one to it's potential. My interests have changed since I bought it. I'm not into PC gaming anymore.

Macbook Pro's are sleek and sexy but I still wouldn't do the trade.

Macs have ridiculously high used sell rates.

Not really fair trade imo, as that mbp still has the c2d, if there was a bit of cash coming your way, say $100, it would be reasonable
