Hey guys, as you know according to my Sig Rig, I own a Maximus IV. I'm trying to install a Backup Drive through a Rosewill External Enclosure. I'm trying to use the two eSATA ports on the back of the motherboard, however the BIOs nor Windows will recognize the new Hard Drive.
I have ACHI enabled and I've also installed the JMicron Drivers, which I'm assuming are the eSATA Drivers and have them enabled through the BIOs. I can't even find the drive through Storage Management in Windows 7.
Could this be a Motherboard problem, a Hard Drive problem, or a External Enclosure problem? Maybe it's because I don't have Hot-swap enabled? Do I need that in order to use the eSATA ports?
Any answers would be appreciated, I'm praying its not the motherboard.
