is it true that Asus' boards read 15-20 *C higher than the actual temp? MBM5 and Asus Probe says that my CPU runs at 52*C load....does that mean that my CPU is actually running at 67*-72* load temp on 1.4875V??

ive got a comp runign a p4p800-vm here, if thats true then these temps i nthe attached pic are that much lower than the yare reading.

HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

if u count it with +20*C, u get 34.5*C on a Zalman....on stock voltage, its okay, BUT THE VOLTAGE IS 1.552!

btw, which zalman do u have?

or is that on a different cooler?

My temp is 55*C load on 1.4875V.....does that seem right for stock cooler?

Wow, i just ordered that board, hopefully i dont have any heat problems with it and my xp-90 and arctice silver 5....

my ambient temp is 18ish, so having a CPU temp of 55 load COULD be normal....but i am also usign a stock cooler and people have said that prescotts do run hot......so....

and Orange, are you going to do a VDD or a VDIMM mod on ur board? cuz my vcore moves around a lot....from 1.41V to 1.49V...(tryign to find a rectangular 50k trimpot locally right now....the source only has those stupid 'assorted 12 packs'...and none of the 12 are 50k ones...)

my asus p4p800-e deluxe board is pretty good I think, but there is no way I'm running -15C of the board readings. My idle is around 26, and load is anywhere from 30-33 (depending if I've cleaned out the air filters). I'm running a big typhoon with a 110 cfm fan on a northwood...I want it to be cool...can you tell?

But those readings look normal to me. It's about 70F here in CA, where I live. So that's about 21C. So if you are correct abou the temps reading really high, then I'm running my proc at load at about 15-18C...sub ambient? I don't think so...my air cooled case isn't that good....but it would be nice to know how to check for this without installing our own temp sensor.
