Simply put, my computer will not post. When I boot, there is a Boot Block Compatible .009 screen, which tells me that I have a bad BIOS checksum and is starting BIOS recovery. This is not the first time I've had this issue before. The first time this happened, I went to class and came back and my computer worked just fine. This time however, leaving it alone did not help. I put the 0502 BIOS onto my flash drive, and it says that it's reading the "P5E.ROM" file, but it has already been a half hour and nothing else has happened since. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?

Could be a dead or almost dead bios battery, try replacing that and see if it helps. Always start with the cheapest option.

I agree with Aslan here, these are general symptoms of a dying CMOS battery. Replacing it sooner than later is always the best option
