Fairly new build on a p6x58d-e board. When I try to transfer movies or other large files from one of my internals to an external via usb the speed starts out as it should but quickly drops to less than 9 mb/s. I've tried all of the ports and all drivers are up to date. Thoughts/ideas? This is not my sig rig.

That's completely normal and sounds just about right via USB 2.0_ It's initial burst speed is quick but after a while it completely slows down(horribly slow down) thats just the way it is.

I average about 12-14 mb/s using usb 2.0 and an external drive.The wait sucks when doing large files.
