I picked up an Asus P8P67-B3 motherboard and installed it today.

Board and cpu run fine, however I cannot update the bios.

The board came stock with 1502 (which is not listed on the Asus site, I assume it was a beta).

1850 is the most current bios version. When I go into EZ bios, it sees the bios revision (I had it on a USB key and on the C drive).

Either way, it states that this is not an EFI bios.

I've bios updated 3 other Asus P67 boards and never run into this issue.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you downloaded the correct BIOS?

Should be labeled as:

Code:

P8P67-ASUS-1850.ROM

Maybe you have a different revision. Check that too.

Figured it out, flash drive needed to be formatted in FAT32 or it could not update from it.

Wierd, but an easy fix.
